You're coming in. Here's what to expect.

This page is just the practical stuff — what to wear, where to park, what happens when you arrive. So the first time isn't a guessing game.

When you get here

Arrive about ten minutes before your session. The main entrance is at the back of the building — easiest is to pull into our car park (you can get in off both Magill Road and Chapel Street — look for the bright blue fence on the Chapel Street side) and come straight in. Someone will meet you — usually me, sometimes one of the coaches — and we'll walk you through the spaces before you start.

You don't need to know what to do. We'll show you. If you've never trained somewhere like this before, that's a normal first arrival, not a disadvantage.

The details

What to wear and bring

Wear

Anything you can move in. Activewear, a t-shirt and shorts, trackies — all fine. Indoor shoes are best. If you've only got runners that have been outside, that's still fine for your first session.

Bring

A water bottle. A small towel if you want one. That's the list. We have everything else you'll need.

Don't worry about

Knowing the exercises. Being at a particular fitness level. Being the youngest or oldest in the room — you won't be. Saying the wrong thing — there isn't one.

What the first session is like

A coach will walk you through it. You'll move at your own pace, with options to scale anything up or down depending on how you feel on the day. Sessions run about an hour. You'll meet a few people. You'll likely leave feeling worked but not wrecked — that's deliberate.

There are different rooms for different kinds of training — we'll point you to the one that fits what you came in for. You don't need to choose anything in advance.

We built this place for people who want to train well — and still be training well in ten years. Strong, clear-headed, not wrecked. The first session is the easiest one to turn up to; after that, you'll know whether it's for you. — Bryan, founder
